On a particularly chilly Madison winter's day, I met Emily and her mother. I was selling wedding gowns in the off-season at Vera's House of Bridals and, as fate would have it, I was randomly assigned to Emily's appointment. We hit it off right away, so naturally, I was super thrilled that not only did I get to help Emily find her dress, but I also got to coordinate her wedding, which featured the picturesque backdrop of Folklore Village, sumptuous floral from Daffodil Parker, amazing cuisine from Lombardino's and an al fresco dinner under the stars. Many thanks to Ray & Kelly for these photos!
As an event planner, it's not often that you get creative license to play with bundles of vintage odds and ends in a turn of the century warehouse to make a party. So when a former groom gave me a chance to do just that for his 50th birthday celebration, I knew I had struck gold. Words can't adequately express how fun it was to create this eclectic, vintage environment. Many thanks to Event Essentials, Relics Vintage and A La Crate Vintage Rentals for the amazing decor and to Booth Photographics for documenting it all so beautifully!
There are so many things I can say about this wedding --- but words just don't seem to do justice to what this day was, and who these people are. There were personally written vows, words and music contributed by dear friends, small touches of tradition, the Peanuts' theme song for the Recessional, beautiful flowers, Cards Against Humanity, fireworks, and a vinyl-spinning DJ for dancing. In short, this day was one of the highlights of my summer and of my career. Thanks, BellowBlue for these fabulous photos.
