From the moment I met Mel and Marshal, I was desperate to work on their wedding. They are effortlessly chic, endlessly fun, and seriously crazy about each other. Both are passionate about nature, a passion that translated beautifully into the outdoorsy elegance of their wedding day. Fun fact: Mel is a geologist, so not only did she source the precious rocks and stones that adorned the tables, but she spent the entire month before her wedding in Greenland on a dig! From the stunning backdrop of the Aldo Leopold Nature Center to the couple's matching tattoos and the decadent Daffodil Parker florals, this wedding was one of my favorites of the season. Many thanks to Audre Rae Photography for these gorgeous images.
Natasha & Drew's wedding was SUCH a joy to work on. Not only did I get to hang out with the couple's sweet dog during several planning meetings, but he was also at the wedding...in a tux. In addition to the sweet puppy, there was delicious food that came from Natasha's family cattle farm, bright, vibrant flowers, pretty wooden farm tables, antique farm tools and a cake made of cheese wheels --- in short, a recipe for a great, great wedding day. Many thanks to Tim Fitch for these gorgeous images!
There are so many things to love about Megan & Bennett's wedding: the fact that it took place on the golf course where they got engaged, the pretty flowers by Daffodil Parker, spending the day alongside two of my best vendor pals, Stephen and Stephanie Booth...I could go on for awhile here. All that said, one of my favorite things about this day was that it was truly a family affair. Fun fact --- years ago, Megan's brother married Bennett's sister, so this wedding really solidified these families' already-special bond. All said, this day was a sweet, pretty and fun tribute to the couple's closest friends and family. Many thanks to Booth Photographics for these gorgeous images and to Sun Prairie Films for the lovely video!
There are so many reasons that I loved working on Claire & Kryz's wedding (besides the fact that they are tremendously fun, cool people). Among these reasons are that 1) they were committed to their wedding have a strong sense of place (by honoring the places they are from, Wisconsin and Poland, respectively) and b) they entrusted nearly all design creation and execution to my care. For this wedding, I created table numbers with Polish translations, scouted and framed vintage maps, created all the reception floral arrangements, and so much more. Creatively, this was a seriously fun project. I loved how it turned out, but so much more than that, I loved Claire & Kryz's wedding day. It was beautiful, honest and fun --- just like them. Many thanks to Claire & Kryz for making me a part of their wedding team, and also to East Elm Photography for these lovely images.
