Hi everyone! I hope your Holiday Season has been smashing, thus far (mine has been). As we bring 2012 to a close, I thought it'd be fun to do a best-of post compiling my favorite blog posts of the year. Enjoy!
Dude Ranch Wedding / May 2012 Post
Confession: half of my love for the colder-weather months stems from my ability to wear sweaters. There is something so comforting about the coverage of a sweater and jacket, so much so that I wonder why bridal fashion should be left without the opportunity to be enhanced by the addition of these items. Here are some of my favorite bridal covering finds:
'Tis the season for kick-butt sales, apparently. Until Thursday, you can take a whopping 40% off of sale items at BHLDN, including gowns, decor, jewelry, lingerie and MORE. Here are my picks (and the UNREAL post-sale prices):
My goodness, how gorgeous are these intricate paper flower creations by Frances & Francis? These would be great to add centerpieces, serve as an alternative to fresh-flower bouquets, hang from the ceiling or trees, or decorate a ceremony space. Lovely.
I think by now I've established that fact that I pretty much just love wedding gowns. But lately, a trend has emerged that has left me in a what-kind-of-fight-should-I-pick-with-my-husband-so-we-can-get-divorced-and-then-remarried-to-each-other-so-I-can-wear-this-dress state of mind. Frankly, these wonderful and swoon-worthy sleeved gowns are making me unstable with their amazingness. Sigh.
Even though wedding showers tend to be a time when friends and family of a bride-to-be shower her with gifts of her choosing (i.e. from her registry), here's an idea for how to get guests to personalize their gift to the bride: in the shower invitation, include a recipe card for the guest to contribute his/her favorite recipe for the new couple! (Note: I would contribute this recipe for Vegetarian Butternut Squash Chili.) Here are some lovely recipe cards (and a recipe card box to collect them in) from Rifle Paper Co:
Happy Friday! Let's kick off the weekend by gawking at this stunning (and earth-friendly!) creation by Lindee Daniel. I'm not sure I've ever seen a gown that combines decadence and weightlessness so perfectly. Swoon.
Hi, friends! Back in May, I introduced you to one of my favorite lines of clothing and accessories for Groomsmen: The Grunion Run Groomsmen Shop. Their attire and accessories are fun, affordable and stylish and include everything from vests to suspenders and socks.
Currently, Grunion Run is looking to grow and develop their line with some seriously cool new items, but in order to do so, they are in need of a little "kick start," if you will. So, they've created this Kickstarter Campaign, where people can donate money in exchange for items from their existing lines to support their growth. For example, for a donation of $165.00, you can outfit your groom AND two of his groomsmen with a Grunion Run shirt and bow tie, which is a pretty great deal, if you ask me.
So, in honor of the recent Small Business Saturday, consider outfitting your favorite guys in some stylish gear in support of a super cool company. Follow the hyperlink to the Kickstarter Campaign, and see below for some of my favorite items from the existing line!
How delicate and pretty are these lace jewelry creations by Branchbound? I think these would make excellent bridal accessories or bridesmaids' gifts. Which is your favorite? (Mine is the ivory lace bib necklace.)
People always say that the best time to buy Christmas decorations is immediately after Christmas is over...when all manor of holiday gear is majorly discounted. So, why not take advantage of these price cuts and re-purpose some Christmas whimsy into chic, delicate wedding decor? Here are some ideas....
